It’s been a year since my last post. An entire year. Does anyone else think that’s insane or is it just me? I mean, I doubt there are many people out there reading my ramblings but if you are it’s been one hell of a year. Between taking care of my health (I was diagnosed with PCOS in January) and the shit show that is my job, to say I’ve been under a significant amount of stress would be a definite understatement. To help combat the ever mounting stress, I’ve been trying to do more things that make me happy – reading, cooking, snuggling my cats, and going on adventures. While the year has been insane for a multitude of reasons, I do have to say it’s been a kick-ass time for traveling. A trip to northern CA in April, out to Seattle & Portland in June, and an extremely impulsive trip to Iceland in August. That’s 2 states and 1 country I can scratch off my world map, ladies and gentlemen. Every year has its ups and downs, right? Anyways, the whole point of this entry is to try and hold myself accountable.
My goals for 2020 are as follows:
- Do more things that bring me happiness.
- Travel – I’m looking at you, Ireland.
- Keep chipping away at my Mount Everest pile of debt. (Yes, I realize this doesn’t align perfectly with my travel goal).
- Exercise.
If you guys could help keep me accountable, that’d be great. Self-monitoring is hard and having that social-component makes all the difference.
That’s all folks!
Have a Happy New Year!
